First Grade

First Graders are working on literacy skills including comprehension, accuracy and fluency in reading. Our balanced literacy program includes Daily CAFE, guided reading groups, D'Nelian handwriting along with a rich writing program. We've embraced the Math Expressions curriculum and it's wonderful to see the progression of skills from Kindergarten. We have exciting Science and Social Studies units that are integrated in all content areas. Some of our highlights are Japan, plants, etc. We're thrilled to have you watch us grow!
